Locorotondo, the atmosphere of Christmas in Puglia
Every year during the Christmas season, the town of Locorotondo, famous for its historic center made up of small white houses arranged in concentric rings (hence the name “Round Place“), becomes a must-see for those who want to experience the atmosphere of Christmas in Puglia’s enchanting Itria Valley.
Indeed, the downtown streets, thanks in part to the care of decorations set up by residents and stores, are dressed up in Christmas lights and colors, enhanced by the white of traditional hovels. The alleys of the village thus become an Apulian-style Santa Claus village, perfect for the little ones but also for those who like a slightly enchanted atmosphere. From the decorations to the stores lining the alleys to the market set up in the central square, you will find delightful examples of local handicrafts and typical food and wine products to taste or give as gifts.
